Pack 271 Leadership

Every parent is a leader. We all do our best to communicate solid character values to the boys, but parents can model that better than anyone else by participating in the leadership of the pack. There are many roles in running a pack, and we need the participation of every parent at some level, if we are to provide the best possible scouting experience for your son.

Pack 271 Vision

Cub Scout Pack 271 will do it's best to:

  • Offer our children and their families safe and responsible fun, friendship, and adventure
  • Instill in our children the beginning of lifetime values and start to develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Cub Scout Promise
  • Teach our children about citizenship, service, and leadership
  • Serve our community and families with the Cub Scout values-based program
  • Encourage the boys to continue to develop along the Scouting trail to Eagle

The Cub Scout Promise

I, [say your name], promise
     to do my best
     to do my duty
     to God and my country,
     to help other people, and
to obey the Law of the Pack.

The Law of the Pack

The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.

The Boy Scout Oath

On my honor,
     I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country,
     and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times,
and to keep myself physically strong,
     mentally awake,
     and morally straight.

The Scout Law

A Scout is
     Trustworthy,
     Loyal,
     Helpful,
     Friendly,
     Courteous,
     Kind,
     Obedient,
     Cheerful,
     Thrifty,
     Brave,
     Clean, and
     Reverent.
